The Dixie Theatre is available to rent when not otherwise scheduled for performances.  Consider this venue as the site of your next organization or community event or a personal special event.  The Theatre can provide help with your event for details such as sound, lighting, publicity, ticket taking, and security, and can put you in touch with any other help you might need. 

The Theatre offers an intimate venue with superior acoustics.  Maximum seating is 180 to 250 depending on configuration.  There are 3 levels of seating:  the orchestra area with portable tables and chairs, and the mezzanine and balcony with permanent "theatre" seating.

RESERVING THE THEATRE
To reserve the Dixie, call the Theatre and make an appointment for a Theatre walkthrough and dicussion of the contract specifics.  Detailed info follows.

Rental Fee Schedule
Non Profit Organization: $400.00 per day* ~ Commercial Organization: $525.00 per day*
Security Deposit: (refundable) $400.00 Returned after your event and after building has been inspected
Down Payment to secure date: (non-refundable, applied to rental fee) $400.00
Clean-up: (non-refundable) $60.00 / $100.00 with food or beverages involved
Rehearsal Use, Clean-up, Load-in/Set-up or Load-out/Break-down: - $150.00 per day
Lighting/Sound Operator: $15.00 per hour, minimum $60.00 per day
Sound System: cost on individual basis
15% on all tickets sold through the Dixie Theatre Box Office
Down payment due when booking date
Security deposit and full rental due before entering the premises

*Providing one performance daily. Multiple performances charged accordingly.

Rules for Theatre Use

1. Food and beverages, if used will be limited to the Orchestra area.  All food and drink plans must be reviewed by and approved by the Director. 
2. Smoking is not permitted in the theatre at any time.
3. Marquee and Box Office use may be negotiated.  Otherwise, the Theatre telephone number is not to be listed as a contact number.  You MUST list a telephone number for your event on all media including, but not limited to signs, banners, radio, newspaper and TV ads. 
4. Children under age 18 are not permitted in the balcony or upstairs areas unless accompanied by an adult.
5. Open flames are prohibited except for canned warming units.
6. Only free-standing and self-contained table decorations are allowed. Nothing may be attached to any walls, woodwork, handrails or exhibits. No tape is be used. No glitter is to be used in the Theatre at any time. All decorations and activities planned for your event must be approved by the designated staff person of DIXIE before the event.
7. Persons using the theatre shall be responsible for any breakage or damage to the theatre facility or its equipment, including instruments, lighting equipment, furnishings and sets.
8. Persons using the theatre may not move any personal property of DIXIE as it is situated at the premises, particularly the piano, without the express consent of management.
9. If keys are provided to the user of the theatre, they shall be returned upon securing the theatre to either the theatre manager or a designated board member.
10. It should be fully understood that the theatre has NO backup electrical generation equipment. The uninterrupted supply of electricity for all lighting, sound amplification equipment, etc is totally dependent upon the local municipal power provider.
11. Renter acknowledges that it has been advised that DIXIE does not provide any security service in conjunction with the rental of the facility. Also, DIXIE shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to any personal property which the Renter or its personnel may bring onto the premises of the theatre.
12. Renter acknowledges that DIXIE shall not provide any services for the Renter’s event, except as spelled out and agreed to in the Rental Fee Schedule.
13. Marquee and Box Office use may be negotiated. Otherwise, the Dixie Theatre telephone number is not to be listed as a contact number.
14. All advertising must state that the event is being held at the Dixie Theatre.
15. The designated staff person of DIXIE may impose additional limitations or restrictions upon use when the staff person determines that they are required to protect the theatre.
